ROB ZOMBIE Guitarist JOHN 5 Interviewed; Audio Available
September 29, 2008Guitar Jam Daily has posted a two-part audio interview with ROB ZOMBIE/ex-MARILYN MANSON guitarist John 5. In part 1 of the interview, John talks in great detail about his latest release, "Requiem". In part 2 he discusses the obstacles he faced while growing up, his luck in his career and his misfortune in his personal life, and how making instrumental records helps him to relax and let go of fears.
John 5 recently postponed his clinic tour which was scheduled to start on September 8 in Orlando, Florida "due to a shoulder injury." According to a press release, "the injury was caused during a bike outing, [with John] hitting an unknown object and being thrown from the bike. He is expected to heal and have a fast recovery with physical therapy to insure he does not lose his magic touch."
John 5 said in a statement, "I am sorry to all that were coming for the performance, but I will make it up and announce new dates soon."

John 5 released his fourth solo album, "Requiem", on June 3 via 60 Cycle Hum.
John 5 performs all instruments with the exception of the time-keeping by Zombie bandmate Tommy Clufetos (drums). The album was recorded in the middle of night that lent a cool vibe and only time John 5 had studio times. Most of the songs are 12-13 minutes long so John 5 decided to put in markers to divide them up so when songs change from track to track it seems to meld in to each other.
